Does anyone have any recommendations for MBA essay services that you can get feedback on your essays before you send them?

Aside from the consultants on here who are offering their services - (Hello Folks!) - The best thing you can do.. if you have the time and foresight, is to ask a current student at the school(s) you're applying too to glance at your essays. Now, I say this with some hesitation but it must be said. When I was a current student, I got a TON of emails from people asking me to review his/her essays. Our email addresses were on the school's club websites and people just thought that was an invitation to email me their essays. No no no no no... do not start off like this.

My assumption (and one that I find is often wrong) is that if you're starting your essays, you've already spoken with some current students at EACH school. if not, then what business do you have writing essays just yet? There's no way you can infiltrate your essays with school fit and all that "soft" stuff if you haven't spoken with someone who has (or is) gone through the program. This gives you an invaluable leg-up on the competition - the other people on this site who are applying to the same schools you will be.

Sure, you can hire an essay consultant. I CANNOT & WILL NOT put down those services because I USED THEM ALL! And they helped a lot in refining my ideas and pulling out stories, but I only used them AFTER I had a story to tell after having visited each school that I was applying too.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

I couldn't agree with you more - networking with current students and receiving feedback can be of great benefit. However, for those who may not have access to students who are generous enough with their time to review essays, there are certainly other avenues prospective students can use (including family, friends or consultants). One thing I would caution, however, is that you trust the feedback you seek. The essays are a critical part of telling your story, as are several other parts of your application - none should be given casual treatment when applying to competitive MBA programs if you want your application to stand out.

As admissions consultants and graduates of top 5 schools, we're able to provide differentiated services at the confluence of admissions and student experiences. That said, with the plethora of choices most of you have, I am sure you will make the right ones that best suit you.

Best,

@uniq01 Re: your comment - "I couldn't agree with you more - networking with current students and receiving feedback can be of great benefit. I always find that this type of sentiment does a disservice to those people seeking an "insiders" perspective into a program, so I'm going to push-back on you here. EVERY MBA APPLICANT HAS ACCESS TO STUDENTS GENEROUS ENOUGH. Now it may not be the 1st person with whom you reach out too and I'm not even saying that it's not doable without reaching out to someone willing to read or look-over your essays. What I am saying, however, is that for those willing to do the due diligence, that help is out there so do not sell yourself short. You would be incredibly surprised at how helpful 1st or 2nd year students are.

Why are they helpful?

Well, for starters, the hope is that they love the school he/she attends, so anyone inquiring about said school is a breath of fresh air because that student gets to talk about his/her experience.

These students are also helpful because he/she was in the same position not too long ago. That person will completely understand the struggle. Trust me on this one, every single one of my classmates helped someone with an essay or 2 during their tenure at school

Just know that it's an option! And again - I used every essay consulting service out there... I had all of my friends look over my essays... I had current students look over my essays... EVERYONE! So I'm by no means putting down essay consulting. I even did it after I graduated from school. I didn't feel that it was fair for me to charge while I was in school because I just wanted to pay it forward. But I helped my fair share of applicants post-MBA.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
