I'm very happy to report that today I took my first official GMAT and scored a 790 (50Q, 51V). I'm mainly on here to give everyone yet another example illustrating how learnable the GMAT really is. The first CAT I took (Manhattan) in February I scored a 650 on, which was relatively disappointing for me since I had spent roughly 20 ....... I know a lot of these posts gave me hope when I thought there was no way it was going to happen for me.
Hi beatthegmat111,

Congratulations on your fantastic score and wish you all the very best for your b-school applications!

Your verbal score is simply fantastic. Can you share some ideas and tips on how you prepared for the verbal section and ended up with this score? I am taking practise tests like gmat prep and other free tests available online and cant cross 35 in verbal. Math I am scoring 48. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks beatthegmat111! I will use your tips and hope to increase my verbal score. However being a non native English speaker the task will not be easy.

Thanks once again for the infomation and wish you all the very best for your b-school applcations and mba plans.

Hi,

I am about to start studying, I will be dedicating my life to this for the next 10 weeks as I have no other obligations until then. I also purchased Magoosh Premium, The OG, and the full Manhattan series. How did you incorporate the Manhattan books into the Magoosh study plan? I'm sort of at a loss right now and I wanted to use Manhattan to shore up my quant since I know that will be my weakness. Thanks and congrats on the awesome score!

I followed the 6 month Magoosh study plan pretty closely.
