Is there rule that if there is a Those / These /This after a semicolon these pronouns can not refer back to the previous sentence before the semi colon?
Also is it correct to use a THAT after a semicolon?

In doing the quant section, people often plug in numbers to see how they work. Well, in verbal you can plug in words and see if what you get works. The following works fine.
After the tryouts some players will make the cut and some will not; those who do make the cut will be asked to attend practice next week.
Also consider this situation in which a pronoun refers to something mentioned in a preceding sentence.
Jim ran out the door. Then he saw what had happened.
Plugging in words can be a great way figure out what makes sense.
