My first attempt at GMAT was in August 2012 (650). I decided to give another try in December 2014.
Initially I planned to prepare for GMAT on my own, but with my busy schedule, I found it difficult to take out time for studying regularly. Then I decided to join a coaching institute in October, and with a lot of research, I found The Princeton Review which suited to all my needs. I enrolled in the Excelerator Program, and I was assigned Bandy Sir (Verbal) and Abhishek Sir (Quant) as my teachers.

The teachers understood my strong and weak areas. I got regular strategy and doubt sessions as per my needs. The topics were even repeated whenever required. There was no dearth of study material and questions, the teachers made very sure of that. Bandy sir asked me to maintain an error log, which helped me immensely in improving my score.

Bandy sir and Abhishek sir motivated me at each step to work towards my goal, and made sure that my low score did not break my confidence. After each mock test, we used to have a discussion class where all the wrong questions were discussed in detail. This really helped me to understand the mistakes I was making.

After a month and half of rigorous preparation, I finally achieved my goal of 700+ (710, V: 40, Q: 47 IR: 8 AWA:5.5). I attribute this success to my teachers and mentors, Abhishek sir and Bandy Sir, who have lent their constant support.
