Slightly off-syllabus

by knight247 » Sun Dec 07, 2014 12:01 pm
This might be a lightly off-syllabus problem, but hoping to be one step ahead of the GMAT, so help with this problem would be highly appreciated.

I don't have an OA for this one. Detailed explanations would be appreciated.

Graph the equation X^3+5X+6=0

P(x) has one real root:
Z_1 = ( -2.689, -0)

Now since we want function to be NEGATIVE therefore the solution of inequation becomes x LESSER THAN or equal to -2.689
