A motorcycle stunts man belonging to a fair, rides over the vertical walls of a circular well at an average speed of 54 kph for 5 minutes. If the radius of the well is 5 meters then the distance traveled is:

A. 2.5 kms
B. 3.5 kms
C. 4.5 kms
D. 5.5 kms
E. None of the above

The OA is C.
It takes time and effort to explain, so if my comment helped you please press Thanks button :)

Just because something is hard doesn't mean you shouldn't try,it means you should just try harder.
Total distance travelled = average speed * time = 54*5/60 = 4.5 Kms
Total distance travelled =( 54 /60) x5 = 4.5 kms. It doesn't matter what is the radius of the well as we can easily calculate distance with time and velocity.

Do we really need the radius in this question? we have the speed and the time, distance can be calculated without the radius.

Looks as if the radius is completely unnecessary, makes the question a little weird, or maybe I should say a little weirder as also "rides over the vertical walls" is funny way of putting what I think it means.
