Admission in US B School

by malhotranipun991 » Sun Sep 21, 2014 9:48 am
Hi,
I gave GMAT and scored 620 (Q 45 and V31). I am looking for an admission in good B school this year in US.

Graduation (Engineering) : 71% Indian University
Executive MBA : 3.9 GPA(ITM Mumbai in association with SNHU New Hampshire)
7+ years of IT experience with clients of different geographical locations. Currently working in US (on H1B) with one of the major US Airlines.

Please suggest in which colleges shall I apply. My Target Schools are:

1) McCombs Business School Austin Texas
2) Cornell University New York
3) Kenan Flagler Business School north Carolina
4) Fuqua School of Business Duke
5) Tepper School of Business

Hi there--

Am I understanding correctly that you have an Executive MBA?? If so, it could be quite challenging to apply for yet another MBA??

Hi Nipun

The first question which comes to my mind after taking a look at your profile synopsis is why would you want to do a full time MBA now after already having done an Executive MBA?

You really need to think this through clearly and come up with some very solid and concrete goals and post MBA work plans.

Also with the current score of 620 I think the schools you have mentioned would be very ambitious. I would urge you to retake your GMAT and come up with at least a 650 along with sorted goals and application strategy.

Good Luck!
