Too Late to Start? Advice Appreciated!

by jerryhze » Sun Aug 10, 2014 8:38 pm
Hello all,

Is it too late to start preparing for the application? I am aiming at Round 2 for MBAs.

Have not taken GMAT yet. Working full time but will have flexibility to devote lot of time on the process.

Well, depends on how lucky (or good) you get with that GMAT. But it aint over till the fat lady sings.
(But do keep in mind that you'll need two months for applications, minimum)

Jon, thanks! I've seen you posting regularly on chasedream and many of them are very helpful!

Right now I am aiming first week of October for GMAT, and then start on application. Do you think it's possible?

That's totally doable! If you crush the GMAT in early October that means you have ~3 months before most R2 deadlines. But remember to factor in things like the holidays and vacation if necessary. Sometimes recommenders can get annoyed writing letters on NYE :).
