This year or next year?

by oksure » Fri May 30, 2014 8:48 am
Hello, as the title suggests I'm trying to decide whether to apply this year or next. Here is my background:
Age: 28 this year
GMAT: 690 (45/40), planning to retake
School: GPA 3.83, Psychology
Work: Tier 2 Consulting - good experience and ratings
Extra-Currics: Club leadership during undergrad, various other leadership roles
Post MBA Goals: Corp strategy or leadership rotation program for F100 company

After some thought, I've broken it down into two likely options:

1. Apply this year
2. Switch to corp strategy job now, apply next year

Thank you in advance for the feedback and consideration.

Hello oksure,

Thank you for your post!

It looks like there are several strengths in your profile already and it would be feasible for you to apply this year. Scoring a 700+ on the GMAT, however, would improve your chances.
