Here is what a student who recently scored 710 on the actual GMAT exam said about the Veritas tests:
The link to the FREE Veritas Test is https://www.veritasprep.com/gmat/free-gm ... tice-test/
The reason that the Veritas test has become so respected in the last year is that the problems are based on over 2.5 million item responses. This means that the scaled scores and the overall score that students earn is often very close to what they get on the actual GMAT exam.
I would also like to thank for the Veritas Prep's practice tests(1st try: 690[Q49, V36], 2nd try 680[Q49, V35] yesterday) and free practice problems...Veritas prep's practice tests were very similar to actual GMAT test problems in terms of difficulty and rating were very accurate. It helps oversea test taker like me.

You're probably already aware of this, but the test-makers have created two full-length practice tests (free from https://www.mba.com/the-gmat/download-fr ... tware.aspx). These GMATPrep practice tests use official GMAT questions and the official GMAT scoring algorithm, so they're the best for gauging your skills.
Also keep in mind that you can take these tests multiple times. Yes, you will see some repeated questions, but not that many. If you're interested, I wrote an article for BTG on this topic: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/03/ ... iple-times
Cheers,
Brent

It takes a huge investment to make a great set of CATs. The New Veritas tests are written by a impressive team of instructors edited over and over and then offered to students as experimental questions before they are ever graduated to the actual Veritas practice test.
Even then the process does not stop! The difficulty level of questions is determined and refined based on actual student responses during exams. Questions are still edited as needed.
This is very different from the way that some unofficial tests are created and administered. The M-GMAT and Veritas tests are considered top shelf. Of course, as Brent indicates, the GMATPrep is the gold standard since it is the "official practice test."
