Ross vs Oxford vs Cambridge

by jtav » Sun Dec 22, 2013 10:25 pm
Hi,

Please help me choose. Instinctive responses only, no long discussions, questions etc. etc.

Looking to choose between 1) Ross 2) Cambridge Judge 3) Oxford Said

Base your responses on the following:

1) Specialisation/Focus: Finance & Strategy
2) School Reputation and Brand (particularly in Asia/India)
3) 'Employability' and Employer recognition
4) Cost/ROI given the above two criteria

Cheers

You are making it too easy for me. All good answers are complex, but I'd go with Oxford.

Thanks Jon.

I hope I didn't cloud your response in anyway.

after much deliberation, the scales are tipping toward Ross, because of the complete learning experience that I feel a US Program provides.. It's still a tough one though.

I was hoping for more responses; given the scarcity, I'd be keen to hear your rationale.

Well, I feel that Ross and Oxford go head to head on your consideration numbers 2 and 3, but that Oxford wins out on considerations 1 and 4. Oxford may even have a slight advantage in Asia/India (it is Oxford after all). It's true that I think Ross does have a better overall prestige, but since Oxford meets your requirements a bit better as you stated them here, perhaps it is the better choice for you.

At the same time, be comforted by the fact that there may not necessarily be a clearer BETTER choice (not something easily predictable anyhow), but they are DIFFERENT choices
