Hi keerthi cathy,
If you'd like to work on "math skills" before you work on GMAT Quant skills/questions, then I suggest that you visit Khan Academy. It's a free website that can help you review/learn everything you need to know about the various math subjects that are tested on the GMAT. Since you have to do all of your work "by hand" as you work through the Quant section, you need to have the knowledge and the ability to do the necessary work to earn those points.

I'll second Khan Academy. It's a fantastic resource for pretty much everything you need to bring your foundational quant skills up to scrach.

This is arguably a biased recommendation, but I'd recommend Manhattan GMAT's Foundations of Math book. It's designed to explain all of the fundamental math principles tested on the GMAT in an accessible, straightforward way. More info here: https://www.manhattangmat.com/storeitems ... 1&catid=10
