Hi parinita,
Sorry for the huge delay in responding.
As you may have already figured out, our company (GMAT Prep Now) has nothing to do with the GMATPrep software. The GMATPrep software is the sole domain of the test-makers. If you have any questions related to the GMATPrep software, they should be posted in the Ask the Test-Maker forum: https://www.beatthegmat.com/ask-the-test-maker-f71.html
Cheers,
Brent

The error message you're encountering suggests that the file you downloaded might be corrupted or incomplete, which is preventing the GMAT Prep software from running properly. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. Re-download the Software
The most common cause of this issue is a corrupted download. To fix this:
Go back to the official GMAT website or wherever you downloaded the software from.
Ensure you are downloading the latest version of the GMAT Prep software.
Clear your browser's cache or try downloading from a different browser or network to ensure a clean download.
2. Check the File Integrity
After re-downloading the file, you can check its integrity by verifying its file size. Ensure that it matches the size mentioned on the download page (if available). If the file is significantly smaller than expected, it may still be incomplete.
3. Disable Antivirus or Security Software Temporarily
Sometimes, antivirus software can flag legitimate software as a threat and cause issues during the download or installation process.
Temporarily disable your antivirus or security software.
Try re-downloading and running the GMATPrep installer again.
Once the installation is complete, you can re-enable your antivirus software.
4. Run the Installer as Administrator
If the download is not corrupted but you're still facing issues, try running the installer with elevated privileges:
Right-click on the GMATPrep installer file (GMATPrep-2.2.306-Windows.exe).
Select Run as administrator from the context menu.
This will give the installer the necessary permissions to complete the installation.
5. Check for Compatibility Issues
Ensure that the version of GMAT Prep you're trying to install is compatible with your version of Windows (e.g., 32-bit vs. 64-bit).
Right-click the installer file, select Properties, go to the Compatibility tab, and choose a previous version of Windows to run it in compatibility mode if necessary.
