(1/x)+(1/2) = 4

1/(x+2) = 1/8x

1/(x+2) = 3.5/8

=7/16

IMo C.

1/x = 7/2
hence x= 2/7

1/(x+2) = 1/(2/7 +2)

1/(16/7) = 7/16.

hope its clear

Find x with the first equation they give you
1/x=7/2
7x=2
x=2/7

And you reimplace it in what they ask you...
1/(x+2) = 1/ (2/7 + 2) = 1/( (2+14/7) )=1/(16/7)=7/16

1/x =3.5 =7/2

x = 2/7

1/(x+2) = 1/ (2/7+2) = 1/ (16/7)=7/16
