GMATPrep median

The graph above is the distribution of thest scores for a group of management trainees.

Which score interval contains the median of the 73 scores?

a)50-59

b)60-69

c)70-79

d)80-89

e)it cannot be measured without any further information.

You have 73 scores and the median is always the middle number when arranged from largest to smallest. 73/2 is 36.5 so we would theoretically need the 36th and the 37th score to completely solve this. Basically add up total numbers on the list until you find the location of the 36th and 37th score. Those both fall under D if you add up set 1 (2) + set 2 (10) + set 3 (16) and set 4 (27).
