PS Practice test question #3

The scores on a certain test in Mr. Rubenstein’s class followed a normal distribution. Kristian scored 95 on the test, which was two standard deviations above the mean. Daniel scored 65 on the test, which was one standard deviation below the mean. What was the mean score on the test?

95=M+2SD
65=M-1SD

if you subtract the above equations,

30=3SD
SD=10

65=M-10
M=75

Hence B is the answer.
