EDIT: NVM you removed the 0 from each number. But see I did 25/3=8.33/12=wich reduces to 2/3..how did you know to put muliple the 12*3 to get 25/36??

This is how we get 25/3 --> it was informed in the question that the car travels for 5 hour at 50 mph. From this information we calculate the distance in 5 hour = 5 hour X 50 mph = 250 miles
And the car consumes 1 gallon of gasoline every 30 miles.
So, in order to calculate the amount of gasoline used, we have to divide
250 miles/30 miles = 25/3 gallon (this is the fuel needed for 5 hour travel at 50 mph)
The fraction is (25/3)/12 = 25/36
