I have never seen the Barron's book myself, but I've heard from multiple sources that it is not worth buying. I'm not sure what you are asking with "overlap with the real test," but I can say that I am pretty certain that Barron's writes their own GMAT questions. Barron's questions should not overlap with the actual retired GMAT questions found in OG.
If you want to boster your quant skills, I think that the Kaplan materials will serve you well. I recommend the following:
Does anyone else have experience with Barron's?

Dear Eric,
I have OG 10, OG 11, Kaplan 800, Manhattan SC Guide & ETS test papers. I started with OG 10 & going to complete it. I didn't touch Manhattan SC guide.
After finishing OG 10, should I start with OG 11 or Kaplan? What is the best study method using these material??
Thank you. |

If I were you, I would go through the Kaplan material after you finish OG. It might be good to ground yourself with some GMAT theory and strategy before moving onto more OG material. When using OG or any other GMAT prep text book, be rigorous when doing your practice problems. Be sure to carefully analyze your mistakes and understand the explanations.
If you run into confusion when doing your analyses, ask this community for help. Best of luck! _________________ Eric
