A play was performed as a part of the benefit for a charity. Nobody who wanted to buy tickets to the benefit had ever seen the play performed before. Because of the high demand, only the people who had never seen the play before were allowed to buy the tickets for the benefit. Therefore, everyone who wanted to buy the tickets for the benefit was able to do so.

In order for this argument to be logically correct, it must also be true that

1. The people planning the benefit wanted to expose the play to new audiences

2. The play was not performed in small theater with few seats.
3. everyone who wanted to buy a ticket believed in the cause for which benefit was held.
4. there was no limit to the number of tickets available
5. everyone who was unable to buy ticket did not want to buy one

argument to be logically correct

so the answer should contribute logically...

1. The people planning the benefit wanted to expose the play to new audiences
No
2. The play was not performed in small theater with few seats.
No
3. everyone who wanted to buy a ticket believed in the cause for which benefit was held.
No

4. there was no limit to the number of tickets available
5. everyone who was unable to buy ticket did not want to buy one

confused with 4 and 5 ---

yeah..to think of it..5 makes more sense...

not sure :(

There are 2 points to be noticed in the argument...

1) "NOBODY who wanted to buy tickets to the benefit had ever seen the play performed before"

Therefore, ALL the people who wanted to buy tickets to the benefits, had not seen the play before....

2) Conclusion is -> "Therefore, EVERYONE who wanted to buy the tickets for the benefit was able to do so"

The conclusion is possible with the given conditions, only when D is true..there are unlimited tickets..."for the people who have not seen the play before"

it is important to note, the unlimited tickets was applied only for the people who had not seen the play...people who had already seen the play..were already eliminated in the argument by "Because of the high demand, only the people who had never seen the play before were allowed to buy the tickets...."
i.e They were not allowed to buy the tickets....

1. The people planning the benefit wanted to expose the play to new audiences
Because of high demand
2. The play was not performed in small theater with few seats.
Out of scope
3. everyone who wanted to buy a ticket believed in the cause for which benefit was held.
don't want to infer too much
4. there was no limit to the number of tickets available
don't want to infer too much, extreme choice
5. everyone who was unable to buy ticket did not want to buy one
This can be the only reason as per the stimulus, as people who wanted to buy the tickets had seen the show

IMO 5

5 is the most suitable option in this case.
