Hi,
Myself Ankit Kakkar aged 25 having 4 years of work experience till date, good academic records from school to engineering. I passed out my Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science) in 2004. I have been involved in software design and development till date. Handled small teams.
Just given my gmat and score is 660 (48Q, 33V). and AWA score is awaited.
Extracurricular includes environment activist for greenpeace organization and event management in my organization.
Won many accolades..
Pls evaluate my chances of getting in top 50 bschools. _________________ Regards,

Hey Ankit,
Thanks for your post.
You have good credentials and likely a good candidate for a top MBA program. However it is hard to gauge your candidacy based on profile/stats, as much of the decision is based on your essays, LORs, interview.
One thing to consider, you are (unfortunately) in one of the most competitive applicant pool - Indians with IT background. Therefore your biggest challenge is how to best differentiate yourself. What makes you different from the thousands of Indian IT applicants that will apply to the same schools with similar backgrounds.
You are definitely competitive for a top 50 school. You might want to consider retaking the GMAT if you are shooting for a higher ranked school (20-30). Your GMAT score is a bit low for Indian IT candidates. Depending on which schools you are applying for, you may need to retake the test, if you believe you can score in the 700s.
