by rosh26 » Sat Jun 14, 2008 6:01 pm
The mass of 1 cubic meter of a substance is 800 kg. What is the volume in cubic cm of 1 gram of this substance under these conditions (1kg = 1000g or 1 cubic meter = 1,000,000 cubic cm)

Answer is 1.25

PLEASE HELP!!!

Its actually very easy...

as it says in the question, 1cubic metre - 1,000,000 cubic cms.

now, 800,000 gms. (8 KG) has a volume of 1,000,000 cubic cms.

so, 1 gm will have a volume of 1,000,000/800,000 = 1.25.
