Dear mwilliams,
You appear to be on track for a competitive application for both the Harvard and Yale programs. The GMAT score does need to start with a 7 for the best chance, but most importantly, you will want to convey a solid rationale for why the MBA and how it fits into your overall career plan. Lastly, I would encourage you to visit both schools and meet with representatives anytime they are near your geographic locale to establish a greater personal connection.
Best of luck,
