Hi everyone,
Today I got 640 (Q 43 V 34) on my first MGMAT CAT =(
I started studying a month ago. I bought all the MGMAT guides. I reviewed the guides and finished (including going over the solutions) all the OG 11, QR and VR problems based on the list at the end of each book.
I have about 6 more weeks until my scheduled date. My goal is get 740+ on the actual test. Is this possible? What is your recommendation? I can study full time for the last 3 weeks.
I have been reading the posts and plan to do the following:
Take 4 more MGMAT CATS.
Take the 2 GMATPREP CATS during the last 2 weeks.
Go over OG one more time.
Finish PR Cracking the GMAT book.
Finish Powerscore CR bible.
Maybe finish Veritas Project GMAT (is this necessary?).
I would like to get 50 - 51 on Quant. How can I achieve this?
Has anyone used the MGMAT Challenge quiz bank or the GMATCLUB challenges? do you recommend it?
What is the best method to improve my verbal?
Thank you so much! This is a great forum!! |

One thing that high-aiming test takers overlook is becoming an expert at the medium level questions.
If you only study top-end material, you may get thrown off by the first few questions that you see on the exam, which will be medium difficulty and quite different from the questions that you're used to seeing. It's important to master those mid-level questions to ensure that you get to the really tough ones during your actual exam.
So, make sure you're also well acquainted with 500-580 level questions.
As for advanced material, I recommed the Kaplan 800 book. Don't take my biased word for it, do a search for it on the forums and see the reviews. _________________ Stuart Kovinsky, B.A. LL.B.
