Hi, My name is Tony, and I am an addict.
I recently purchased Garner's Modern American Usage so that I could better understand some of the intricacies of Sentence Correction, and of our peculiar language in general. This is especially odd because I've been a mathie all my life. However, when I started teaching GMAT prep years ago, I started to develop a strong interest in the language.
My score was quite good (770), but it's one thing to take the test and another thing altogether to be able to teach it. I believe that you must have many tools (methods), and the ability to read a student and determine which method would best match their abilities and inclinations.
In addition to working out and value investing, I am passionate about the GMAT, and I look forward to participating in the forums. I have already learned a lot from doing so, and it is my hope that I will continue to improve as a GMAT instructor!
Regards,
Tony
