5th Edition?

by j.emerson » Tue Dec 22, 2009 2:06 am
Hi ManhattanGMAT,

I won't be taking the GMAT until about a year but would like to start prepping for it. I was wondering when you will be publishing your 5th edition books? This way, I will know whether to buy your 4th edition or 5th edition books.

Thanks!

Hi J.emerson,

We aren't planning a fifth edition for some time, so I wouldn't worry about missing that new version.

However, we just came out with our 4.1 editions which reference the 12th edition OG and the 2nd edition Official Verbal and Quant Review Guides, so if you are buying our books, make sure to get the 4.1 edition, not the fourth.

Now that it's been a year, is there any change in the status of the 5th edition? That is, is Manhattan GMAT working on a 5th edition and if so, when is it likely to be released? I will be taking the GMAT sometime during 2011, but don't want to spent all the money on the 4th edition only to have the 5th be released two weeks later.

Hi,

We are working on a 5th edition, but our best estimate at the moment of when that will be out is in the fall of 2011 (somewhere around September/October.) So if you're looking to take the test before then, our 4.1 editions would be the most up to date.

Best,
Caitlin

Dear Manhattan GMAT,

None of your prep books sold on Amazon specify 4.1 edition. They all say 4th edition. How can I be sure that I am buying the 4.1 edition or not?

here's an example, https://www.amazon.com/Sentence-Correcti ... 196&sr=8-2

thank you
