Hi Guys,
Nice to see good postings and good/bad scores on the portal.I'm pretty much new to this GMAT Exam.so, I hv decided to take GMATPrep Practice Exam 1 downloaded from mba.com and was trying to analyze where I stand.I'm pretty much comfortable with Quant(41) and I think I'm very bad at Verbal(15).... (.
I m planing to buy OG 11 and start working on it.
I want somebody to point any good resource for Verbal. How can I achieve 50 in verbal???
Thanks,
Kis |

Several people have mentioned that the Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction books is a must have. So that is one which you can add to your bookshelf for tackling the Verbal section.
I have just ordered my copy ! |

It seems like you are at the very beginning of your prep. My advice is to take some time to develop a solid study strategy. Read through these resources:
http://beatthegmat.blogspot.com
http://www.beatthegmat.com/resources.html
Create a study strategy that emphasizes (1) identifying your weaknesses, and (2) analyzing/improving upon them.
What is your target GMAT score?
Good luck! _________________ Eric

Thanks to Eric for suggesting the Test Review after the completion.
After skimming thru the Review of GMATPrep which I took yesterday.I could able to figure out few mistakes.
1.In Quant, I mis read 2 questions , did silly mistakes in 3 and forgot the formulas for 2.
2.Most of the Mistakes I did are from SC and CR.
Since, I m yet to start the prep.I guess,If I can work on SC , CR and avaoid wrong readin then I guess, I can reach my target.
Thanks,
~K |

Think about investing in the Manhattan GMAT SC Guide--it's the best resource available for SC prep. To see my other book recommendations, check out: http://www.beatthegmat.com/books.html
