Just wanted to say thank you to Eric and everyone else for all your help. Eric - you'll be pleased to note that I also had peanut butter sandwiches during my breaks. Yum!
I don't really have many tips/pointers to add to all that is out there, but for what they are worth, here are my thoughts:
- OG is of course crucial. Once you have the theory down from the other books, just do question after question.
- I stayed well away from any other tests/questions - did one MGMAT quant section and did so badly that I felt awful for a week. Stick with the official questions and tests. If you run out, use some of the 500 batch which I think are official questions (available on Eric's resource page).
- One particular subtle point - on DS questions, if it is a value question and you think that the answer is D then do the math and see if they both come to the same value. They always will if you are right.
Happy to answer anything else - but email me at newmikeyork@gmail.com as I am going to step away from this forum and go focus on applications for a while...
Oh, practice tests in order of completion:
GPREP 1 - 770
GPREP 2 - 750
PPREP 1 - 770
PPREP 2 - 800 (I knew so many of the questions, it is not representative) |
