Jurassic Park, written by Michael Crichton, and which was first printed in 1988, is a novel about a theme park of the future in which dinosaurs roam free.

(A) Jurassic Park, written by Michael Crichton, and which was first printed in 1988,
(B) Jurassic Park, written by Michael Crichton and first printed in 1988,
(C) Jurassic Park, which was written by Michael Crichton, and which was first printed in
1988,
(D) Written by Michael Crichton and first printed in 1988, Jurassic Park
(E) Jurassic Park, which was written by Michael Crichton and first printed in 1988,

OA ==> B

jangojess, being very frank I also chosed D at first. But man there is a story - D is saying that - Written by Michael Crichton and first printed in 1988, Jurassic Park It is indicating that Jurassic Park written by Michael Crichton and Michael Crichton was first published in 1988. I think so! And leaving D, there is only other option to chose and that is B.
Correct me If I am wrong

Regards,

Amitava

Actually Amitava, there is nothing grammatically wrong with B or D that I can see. It's a matter of sentence order, and that's a matter of preference. It is arguable that it is more clear to place a dependent phrase/antecedent after the simple subject, but it really can be done either way.

I was say that this is a bogus test question. What is the source?
