Hi Stacy

I took the GMAT not too long ago and scored a higher Verbal score than a Quant score. My quant score was at 65%. If my GPA is pretty good from a Tier 1 American University, would my quant coursework compensate for low GMAT quant score? Overall score is 650.

Also what are considered quant courses? I've taken Calculus, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry courses with good marks. I'm not sure if the science courses are considered quant though.

Thanks for any insight you can provide on this!!

It would be great of you could raise your Quant score. If not, they will look at your transcript alongside your GMAT, so high grades in quant classes can appease concerns.

Calculus is an important quant class. Others that are good for bschool are Accounting, Statistics, Finance. You may want to take an accounting class now. The science courses are not as relevant, though a high GPA will be important to demonstrate your general academic abilities.
