Ok its done! I am an old man who wants to get the GMAT off his Life's To Do list here. I signed up for this ordeal in Jul end after 12 years of "man i so need to this"isms. I would like to think i had put in my fair deal of hours on this. And this site played a huge part as well. it had made it to my morning chores i.e. check scores, stocks, et al. I would say i was working around 3-4 hours on weekdays and 6-8 on weekends. The material i used was
- OG 11
- OG verbal
- OG Quant
- Manhattan SC
I feel i did catch a break or two on the test since i had never scored this much in any of the tests ! Some of the scores scored are
Kaplan 710
MGMAT 1 650
MGMAT 2 700
MGMAT 3 680
GMATPREP1 740
GMATPREP2 710
The Test center was nice n clean. I got there a tad bit late but fortunately in time for all the festivities. The AWAs started with a thud, literally that is. There was some construction going on. The essays have always been a chore for me and this wasnt the ideal start. I had a hard time managing my essays infact the time expired on me on the second one. Hopefully it wont hurt me too much. Anyways the noise died down by the time Quant came around. I made it a point to get maximum value out of my breaks. Did the bio break act, snacked on some gatorade ( i recommend the lime one ).
Quant was pretty easy. No probability. Maan I love those Questions! Anyways barring a geometry question, rest were pretty standard OG stuff.
Verbal RCs were good n easy but for the 4th one which was long ! SCs were never my forte. I rolled the dice and clicked the options. Then it came time for the verdict. I wasnt sure if i wanted to see the score. I have to say it was a pleasant surprise.
Thats all i got for now. Hopefully the AWAs wont come back to bite me. |

| Thanks Eric for your encouraging words. Now i guess i need to take applying more seriously than i had envisioned. I guess now would be a good time for me to graduate to other fun parts of your great forum. |
