I think I've heard of the IE School--isn't that an online business school? Never heard of the IE School test though. Any specific program you're referring to?

Never heard of the IE test -- one guess is that it could be a language test for incoming b-school students?

I have heard that Spanish business schools are starting to adopt the GMAT as their admissions test standard. We'll see.

IE has one of the top MBA programs in the world, let alone Spain.

In Spain, the big three are IESE, ESADE and IE - in that order... for now.

IE is the youngest of the three but is fast catching up. It is marketing itself better than the other two. It's selling point is it's 1 year MBA, typical of most European institutes. It is however supposed to be more up-to-date and more practical than most other MBAs.

It's ranked at no. 6 in the FT MBA 2010 Ranking

The IE test is an alternative to the GMAT. It accepts both.

IE has intakes in April and Novemeber.

It's a top notch school and probably the best for those who are looking for a 1 year program.

i'm definitely considering it. I might apply for the nov intake. They have a dual degree program, MMBA + MS in Supply Chain Managment which they offering in conjunction with MIT. I might apply for that.

The tuition fees have to be paid separately.

Tuition Fee for the IE MBA = €49,100

Tuition Fee for the MS program = $48,650 (@ MIT) OR €21,500 (@ Zaragoza)

sars72,

I think we need to have admit from both the colleges to make it to the IE dual degree course. In case, we could not make it to one of them then we'll be out from the race.

Tuition fee is too much. How wud you rate ROI ? Any idea about loans that college can offer in association with banks in spain ?

suman,

yes, you are correct. We need to apply separately to both colleges and only if we get admits from both will we be able to pursue the dual degree. If you feel that the tuition fee is too high, then maybe you should consider taking up the MS @ Zaragoza.

I asked the folks at IE if we can apply for the MS program after we have enrolled at IE, maybe during our first few months there. They said that it could be possible but were vague on the details. They strongly advised against it though, citing visa processing, punishing MBA work load, etc.
