Hi
What do you guys think the next big thing for MBAs is? I mean the job/industry that all the graduates want.
Most recently it was Private Equity, but it seems like that is dead for a while. Before that it was VC/Startups, before that it was stock traders and before that it was bond traders, way back in like the 60s...correct me if I am wrong not sure about the dates..
So what do you think is next?
Entrepreneurship?
Non profit?
Nah comon, lets be serious, it is going to be where THE MONEY is, this is b school we are talking about.
The Next big MBA Thing - after PE

I've heard that Google is rising in the ranks of top destinations for MBA graduates...maybe it's the digital world?
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.

I really love the paradox of business school.
No-one applying to top schools like h/s/w will ever answer the "What is most important to you and why?" with: Well I'm really in it for the money, just want to make a killing and then retire in thailand.
No, most essays are about integrity, honesty and making a better world......
....And upon graduating 40% runs off to the financial sector to do leveraged buyouts. Oh, the irony.

Did not hear about Google as a top destination but E-business is one of the most attractive fields I think. As for me I always knew where I want to go after MBA and my choice does not depends on external factors. If you are an expert in your sphere you'll be aswim anywaymoney9111 wrote:I've heard that Google is rising in the ranks of top destinations for MBA graduates...maybe it's the digital world?

Yeah if you look at the companies that are recruiting at top schools, Google is in the ranks now. Microsoft has been there for a while, but Google is becoming synonymous with hiring MBA's
