Fordham vs Villanova

by S3 » Wed Dec 23, 2009 4:11 pm
Hello. I was accepted to Villanova and Fordham's MBA programs for Spring 2010. Most of my career was spent in NYC and I plan to continue working there after receiving my degree.

Both schools have similar finance programs but Villanova is cheaper. Any advice on which school is better? Do NYC banks recruit from Villanova?

Thanks.

I'm sure that information would be available on the Villanova website no? What I've heard from folks attending school here (I'm in NYC) is that it's very easy to just hop on the train and go meet with someone during the day without disrupting your schedule. @ Villanova you'd be closer to Philly but since you mentioned that you would live in NYC post graduation that may be something to consider.

I think you'd undoubtedly have more NYC contacts by attending Fordham. If the only reason you're contemplating Villanova is because of the lower cost, it's just up to you on whether or not the difference in $ is beneficial long term.
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
