If 5^x - 5^(x-3) = 124(5^y) hat is y in terms of x?
x
x-6
x-3
2x+3
2x+6
Can someone provide a detailed walkthrough and solve the above pproblem?
Thank you very much for any help.

5^(x-3) [5^ 3 - 1 ] = 124(5^y)
124 * 5^(x-3) = 124(5^y)
Dividing by 124
5^(x-3) = 124(5^y)
Comparing exponentials
x-3 = y
Answer is C
