8. A certain culture of bacteria quadruples every hour. If a container with these bacteria was half full at 10:00 a.m., at what time was it one-eighth full?

16. There were 36.000 hardback copies of a certain novel sold before the paperback version was issued. Post each question as a separate thread. It is easy to focus and helpful for people who search. Also, try to elaborate where you are having difficulties while solving these so people can help you better.

The hamburger question seems to have a typo... none of the answer choices work. I believe this was brought up before. It's likely that the burger plus coleslaw is $3.95 and not $3.59.

I have tried to solve them, either my answer doesn't match with choices, or I can't solve it at all,,
