EMBA vs MBA

by shovik » Tue Jun 30, 2009 11:13 am
I am planning to do an MBA from India and then go for another MBA from one of the top b schools in the world.
I have 2 questions.
Should I go for this double MBA or not ??
If I do , would it be better if I pursue an EMBA as my second MBA or not ??

Thanks

Hi and thanks for your questions (and apologies for the delay in getting back to you).

It really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to get a "double-MBA." You will almost certainly be going over the same core material (finance is finance, right?) and I think you would be bored and annoyed with yourself for making this decision.

Focus instead on whether you want to do your MBA in the US, Europe, or Asia, and then make your decision from there. Decisions about getting an MBA have gotten MUCH more complex as options have proliferated so take your time, do your homework, and then make a smart and informed decision.

Good luck and and keep me in the loop as your decision making evolves--

Paxton
