Progress on TestPrep

by gmat_score » Tue Sep 12, 2006 6:41 pm
Hello all,

A bit about myself

5+ Years of experience.
Good academic performance.
Outstanding performer at work

About my GMAT Prep

Started preps in June. (Plan was! But work kept meddling)
First GMATPREP test with one week's prep was 610 (Forgot the breakdown..)
July -August preps are OK. Kaplan is completely finished studying and solving given problems.I have finished Offical Guide Quant, Setence correction & Critical reasoning. Still to finish RC from OG.
I gave the second GMATPREP last week and came out with 690.
Q 47 36V (Unlike my preparation in which I do better at Verbal)

I have my actual GMAT on 25th Sep. I want to complete OG & review important questions (The ones I got wrong first during solving...). I was also looking for other resources like online tests or GMAT 800 by Kaplan.
I am hoping to break 700 barrier.

Please suggest a good resource for last 10 days.

Thank you very much

Hi gmat_score:

Glad to hear that you are in the home stretch of your GMAT prep. I don't have any specific resources to recommend for your final 10 days, but I would devote most of your time in doing practice tests. You've probably covered a lot of material by now, and studying new resources will only have incremental value to you...

Take a lot of practice tests--timed, and in a "realistic" test environment if you can (I suggest a somewhat busy area of a library). These practice tests wil help you build the endurance and focus you need to do well on your real test.

Best of luck! You are almost at the end of your GMAT journey...

I hope so. I am trying my best to put effort in the right direction (~ becomes difficult after 10 hours of workday ..laboring in IT industry)
