5 Teams : So,total no. of games played = 5C2 = 10.
Total no. of segments = 7 => means that 3 games are pending.So,the results of those games are not yet known.
Two segments have no arrows =>Indicates that it ended in a tie...
So,matches that ended in a tie = 2 & total no. of matches possible = 10.
So,assuming the results of all other games(including the ones that are not played),we can figure out the % that is not possible...
Assuming that all other matches will have a result => 2/10 = 20 %
Similarly,it can be deduced for others...the results will be 30 % if one of the remaining matches ended in a tie...and so on and so forth.
Maximum no. of ties possible is 5(assuming all 3 matches pending to be played ended in a tie)....=> 50 %
So,the number that is not possible is 10 % since we already know that 2 matches have ended in a tie,its not possible to have 10 % as the percentage of ties..as 2/10 is the lowest possible outcome!
Note : There is no need to even think and calculate other outcomes coz the existing ratio 2/10 is the lowest possible.I have just included it for the sake of explanation..
