CR techniques

by rkangmat » Mon Mar 30, 2009 8:44 pm
I am looking at techniques (reducing the time to arrive at the correct answer) for attacking the CR problems. Is it recommended to write down the conclusion and premise information in brief on given paper sheet for each CR question in particular manner? Will this save some time? Many a times we tend to go back to the argument and read it again, so thought this might save some time.

CR strategies are individualistic.
So, the mantra is, you need to keep trying out new techniques, till you arrive on one that works best for you.
For some, writing on a piece of paper is time wastage and distraction, while maybe for others it will work.

One good strategy is to read the question stem before reading the argument.
This will streamline your approach, as there are only few types of questions in CR. E.g. Draw a conclusion, assumption, weaken/strengthen the argument and so on.
