I was toying with the idea of getting a PhD in business.

Did anyone go this route? I'm wondering what being a PhD student is like in business school. I'm wondering what the pay is for these kinds of guys. During business school and afterwards.

Any doctors in the house?

What would you do with a PhD that you couldn't do with an MBA?

Yes, my motivation is teaching and researching more than making tons of $$ as well, although I must say Business teachers have good salaries as well. In my case, if I ever get the score I need for in the GMAT, it will take me 2 years ( I already have an MBA and I can tranfer some credits). I am planning to start my PhD in teh same school I completed my MBA.
