This does not strengthen the claim in any way. The statement should talk something about the quality to be the answer

This does not strengthen the claim in any way.

This probably weakens the claim.

(D) Since 1970, Deluxe has made fewer changes in the automobiles it manufactures than other car companies have made in their automobiles.

Correct. This statement means that the users could expect the same quality in the automobiles as in the past.

Conclusion: great durability of automobiles manufactured by the Deluxe

Premise : over half of all automobiles built by the company
since 1970 are still on the road today
Compared to no more than a third for any other
manufacturer.

It could be possible that for the last few years Deluxe
company increased production of automobiles then its claim
of durability will not be acceptable.
It can only be acceptable when it shows that the production
of automobiles is not increased and it remains constant since
1970

B seems irrelevent to the argument
How will production not increasing sharply affect the Quality of Automobile. Here V will have to co-relate production and quality which seems far-fetched.If u have to assume too much to make an option work, then the option is wrong.

I think it is B but for a different reason

Deluxe Motor Car Company cites as evidence the fact that over half of all automobiles built by the company since 1970 are still on the road today

So it can be true that the company has produced significant number of automobiles in last few year and the one manfactured earlier (closer to 1970) are no longer on the road. So if the production has increased, it proves that the automobiles are not durable
