Can negative numbers be odd/even?

Good point about zero. Lots of data sufficiency questions hinge upon your knowing the zero properties.
While we're at it, 0 and 1 aren't prime!

Good point! I think it would be right to add that only intgers are considered for even/odd determination.
If the question reads is x even we can say the question is asking is x an even integer?
Thoughts/suggestions welcome!

Hi,
Sorry to start this again, but I am asking specifically about the GMAT here....
as far as i can remember, in higher maths, ALL Rational numbers can be classified as odd or even, depending on whether their last digit is a multiple of 2, even for decimals.
just wanted a GMAT perspective here...
