My pm is not working from last 1 week. Every time i try to send a message it goes into outbox.

This is actually a common misinterpretation. If a message sits in the outbox, that means that the recipient has not opened his/her inbox yet to read the message.

The message gets placed in the 'sentbox' only after the recipient read the message.

Doesn't make much sense, I know. Just for testing purposes tomato1, you can shoot me a PM to make sure everything is working properly.

If you ask me, that's a pretty neat way of knowing if your message has been read or not. If it's been read, and then you get a reply pretty late then......

Damn! I hope not a lot of ppl know about this.
