The good way to attacj this question is by elimination method.
(B) is not correct as author is talking about the superior service - i.e. improving the already good service.
(C) - The prior damage to the bank is never mentioned
(D) - Never stated
(E) - Author actually states in 1st para that the service is at par with the competitors.
