I scored 660(Q48 V34) in Gmat. I have done BE(civil) and diploma in compuetrs. I have an experience of about 8 years in IT. I have been working with IBM for past 4 years. I joined as a senior developer and currently working as a team lead. Currently 7 people are reporting to me. I have 3 months of USA experience. I have worked with international clients only(UK,US). Worked in CMM level 5 companies. I can get reference letter from client who is based in US. I am planing to apply in LBS. What do you think are my chances?

Appreciate your help.

Dear Amitk101,

Honestly, I think you have a large hurdle to jump for admission to LBS. Your GMAT score is on the low side and your education/work experience is not unique. Perhaps there are some interesting things in your background that you did not post that will make the difference? But based on what you posted, I think your chances are low without increasing your GMAT score.

Good luck,
Lisa

Lisa,

Thanks for your honest reply.
Could you let me know the GMAT score I should target in the second attempt.

Thanks
Amit

Hi Amit! Any score that starts with a 7 would be best, but I think even a 20 point increase to a 680 would put you in a better position.

Best of luck,
Lisa
