Topic: Please advice-650
PostSun Oct 11, 2009 4:56 am

Hi ..

I'm an Indian IT male with 3 yrs of experience. I gave my GMAT recently and got 650 (Q47V34). Was expecting a score of 700+.

I'm planning to do a one year MBA course in one of these colleges

1.Cass - UK
2.Lancaster University - UK

Can someone advice whether I can get into these colleges?
Extra curricular activities are just OK.

Please advice whether I can get into these two colleges or retaking GMAT is the only option?

Thanks in advance.

Hi and thanks for your inquiry. I'm not really familiar with those schools, but my suggestion is to go to their websites or some ranking sites and look for the GMAT scores for those schools. You should be able to get a mean and median, as well as the range that the middle 80% fall into. If your 650 is at or above the median/mean, then I don't see a need for you to retake it; instead just focus on your essays. If your score is significantly below their average, then re-taking the GMAT is probably a good idea.

Good luck.
