Placements of International Candidates Post Wed Nov 23, 2011 10:32 pm
I am from India and plan to seek admission in 2013 (US B-Schools). But the present scenario of recession and tightening of policies is raising my concern about the placements after completing MBA.

Is there any downward trend in placements of international candidates? If yes, what would you recommend?

Yours,
Anup Sheshadri

Job placement improved once again in 2011, bringing many schools closer to prerecession hiring levels. The even-better news: Starting salaries reported by many schools increased for the first time since the financial crisis started. The average median starting salary for Class of 2011 MBA graduates jumped 4 percent to $101,010, up from $97,164 a year ago.

I dont think there is any downward trend anymore. Even if there will be, its the best time for MBA, like it was in 2009.

Hi throughmba,

Though you have posted the stats, you have not mentioned anything specifically about International candidates....Question
