need help between (B) & (D), i picked (B) bc if wholesale prices go down, plant breeders make less money; therefore they would like to stick with normal varieties rather than larger plant varieties OA:D
The strategy is to concentrate on dwarf varieties instead or normal or larger varieties. We're looking for a reason this happens.

A--Nothing about dwarf vs other varieties

B--By focusing on dwarf varieties, the wholesale prices will go down as well, which will lead to less money for the plant breeders.

C--Nothing about dwarf vs other varieties

D--If dwarf varieties are superior in some ways (resistance to wind and heavy rain), that could be a reason some breeders favor them. Perhaps they are in a climate where heavy winds and rain are common, so dwarf varieties offer a better chance of a good yield.

E--Nothing about dwarf vs other varieties

Hi Bill,
I picked the correct answer, but eliminated choice (B) instantly as soon as I read the first two words..wholesale prices..basically didn't even read the entire sentence because the stem has got nothing to do with wholesale prices? Is my reasoning correct?

Thanks in advance!

Prethinking: We have to find a reason why they prefer "dwarf" varities.

only option that explains this is D.
