need suggestions Post Wed Feb 15, 2012 8:42 pm
I am in high tech industry with quiet a good job as well as salary more than the average ISB provides in placements, but I had a passion to do an MBA and thus I applied to ISB , i got acceptance from ISB with scholarship . I wanted to know Is it a good idea to leave my well set job and do and MBA , I firmly believe it will help me in long term of my career, but some of my collegues say you are going to waste one year and it will again take time for you to get such a well set career, what should I do ? should I listen to my heart or to the the people , quiet confused , any suggestions? Just wanted to know will MBA from ISB wil help me in long term career?

If you have a FULL scholarship it's totally worth it. Hands down. even if you don't it may be totally worth it.
Look at the stats:
http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/indian-school-of-business/global-mba-rankings-2012#global-mba-rankings-2012

Percentege of students employed 3 months after graduation: 100%!!!!
Average salary three years later: 128,798!
Average salary increase for grads: 177%

Looking good. Now do your own numbers! What do you come up with?

I agree.Go for the numbers given and listen to your heart. If you are specific about your goals and are articulate about what you want to gain from an MBA from ISB, just go ahead with it.
