Yes, it's worth it.

If you master all the problems in Kaplan 800, you will score in the 650 range. It is not tailored for 700+ scorers despite what Kaplan might claim.

But it is indeed a very useful book, it helped me a lot when I first started.

What books/resources do you recommend to get to a 700 score?
I am surprised that Kaplan 800 will only get you to a 650 score....
What does it take to make it to the magic "700" ?

Another suggestion apart from the books.

The only questions which are really 700+ are the ones you get on the GMATPrep when you are scoring above 40 in Verbal, and above 48 in Quant. I suggest you take the test multiple times to see the questions at that level (you should be able to inflate your scores because of the repeats you will see ). Once you see a question that is at that level try to solve it in 2minutes. Depending on whether you got it right or wrong - ask yourself what you are lacking/needed to solve that question.

Manhattan GMAT products are superlative.

Take their tests. Their questions are very tough.

Thanks!! That's very good advice.
I recently bought the Manhattan GMAT - Advanced GMAT Quant Guide and will use their GMAT exams to practice.
